Oppia Translation Team - Brazilian Portuguese

Oppia is a nonprofit that gives learners free online lessons, with a focus on communities that have limited access to education. Omelora is partnering with Oppia to place fluent Brazilian Portuguese speakers on its Translation Team. You will translate story-based lessons from English into Brazilian Portuguese.

Instructions

Sign up through Omelora using the email linked to your volunteer account.
Omelora will send your registration to Oppia.
Watch for a message from Oppia and complete the onboarding steps they provide.
Translate written Oppia lesson content from English into Brazilian Portuguese.
Tell the team when a story detail may be unclear to Brazilian Portuguese-speaking learners.
Explain any cultural changes that would make the lesson easier to understand.
